ABOUT THAT FATAL KISS MUSIC
Information about That Fatal Kiss Music, it’s purpose, this site and some of the ways you can help support our ministry.
Q.1 What is That Fatal Kiss Music All About? |
TFKM was formed in Spring 2001 as a means of self-publishing my praise and worship material, and making it available to the wider body of Christ. It grew out of the knowledge that God was calling me to get the songs “Out There” for others to hear, use and be blessed by, and this call was, is and will be right at the heart of everything TFKM does. |
Q.2 What will I find on the site? |
You will find everything you need to use these songs in your own church, including chord charts, lyric/OHP sheets, sheet music and, even, mp3 files of every song to give you an idea of what they sound like. We will shortly be making the song words available in EasyWorship format so that you can easily bolt them into your existing database without any typing required. |
Q.3 How much does it all cost? |
Everything available on the site can be downloaded totally free of charge … including the mp3 files. There are links enabling you to buy David Cooper’s solo CD, as well as CDs by his band, theREIGN, but other than that everything is free of charge. |
USING THE SONGS
Information about use of the songs in churches, elsewhere, copyright … all that sort of thing.
Q.1 What do I need to do to use one of these songs in my own church? |
Simply download what you need, listen to the mp3 file to learn how it goes and then plug it into your service. All the songs are CCLI registered, so you are free to use them in the same way as any other worship songs you might sing, by the likes of Matt Redman, Tim Hughes or Darlene Zschech. Just remember to include them in your periodic return. |
Q.2 Can I use the songs at other times and in other places? |
Although the CCLI licence does not cover use of the songs other than in a church service or worship meeting, by releasing the songs under a Creative Commons Licence I grant permission for you to use them as you see fit. All I ask is that you let me know that you are doing this … but even this is not compulsory. |
Q.3 Can I record your songs myself? |
Yes you can, but I do set a couple of groundrules for this. Firstly, please make sure that you correctly credit David Cooper (and co-writers where relevant) as the songwriter(s) and That Fatal Kiss Music as owners of the copyright, and provide a copy of the URL to this site. Second, please let me know that you are doing this. This is actually beneficial to you, as you can be sure that I will send people in the direction of your recording, thus increasing your listerner base and, possibly, your sales. |
USING THE RESOURCES
Information about the use of TFKM’s downloadable resources
Q.1 Can I copy your music for the whole worship band? |
Yes you can. These resources have been made freely available on the web and you are free to make as many copies as you need for all the musicians in your band. |
Q.2 Can I share your resources with my friends? |
Yes you can. However, if you do this, then you must ensure that the credits and copyright information are not removed or changed in any way. Check also the terms of the Creative Commons Licence (you will find a link on the Songs page). |
Q.3 Can I make your resources available on my own website? |
Yes you can. However, if you do this, then you must ensure that the credits and copyright information are not removed or changed in any way. Check also the terms of the Creative Commons Licence (you will find a link on the Songs page). |
